Alliance Santé était une entreprise de distribution de produits pharmaceutiques (répartition). Elle a disparu pour devenir Alliance Healthcare en 2007.

Principaux repères
En 1989 nait la holding Ile de France Pharmaceutique (IFP, créé en 1936), sous l'impulsion de Claude Berretti, ainsi que la holding ERPI SA - Européenne de Répartition Pharmaceutique et d'Investissements de Pierre Cambon, Président de Thomas Répartition et d'Antonin De Bono, Président du CPC. Elle associe trois sociétés COF Répartition, CPC Répartition et Thomas Répartition Pharmaceutique, qui comptent alorts parmi les plus importants répartiteurs français.

Dix ans plus tard, en 1999, IFP Santé et ERPI Santé fusionent pour créer ALLIANCE SANTE qui occupe alors le second rang en France dans la distribution pharmaceutique derrière OCP. En 2000 paraît l' Arrêté relatif aux Bonnes Pratiques de Distribution en gros des médicaments à usage humain et des produits pharmaceutiques, transposition en droit français de la réglementation européenne de 1992. En 2002, le Groupe Alliance Santé France décide d'élargir son offre en prenant le contrôle du capital d'ORP - Ouest Répartition Pharmaceutique. Mais la quête d'une taille critique dans une optique européenne continue. Le 31 juillet 2006, Alliance UniChem Plc et Boots PLC fusionnent pour créer le groupe ALLIANCE BOOTS, leader européen de la santé et beauté. Alliance Santé lance cette même année sa marque de génériques, Almus® à l'occasion du salon Pharmagora. En avril 2007, Alliance Santé est devenue Alliance Healthcare.

La distribution pharmaceutique en Europe est le théâtre de bouleversements qui sont de nature à modifier en profondeur les rapports de force entre laboratoires, répartiteurs et officinaux. Ces évolutions s'observent à plusieurs niveaux :
•l'évolution du métier de répartiteur full liner, qui connaît un double mouvement de diversification, en amont avec l'intégration d'une activité de pre-wholesaling et en aval avec l'acquisition d'officines. Le rapprochement annoncé entre Boots et Alliance Unichem ne fait que confirmer cette double convergence ;
• la réorganisation des circuits officinaux autour de centrales d'achats et d'enseignes de pharmacies : en Allemagne, 80 % des pharmacies adhèrent à un groupement, ce taux dépasse les 70 % en France ; • les conditions mêmes de l'exercice officinal : la prescription pharmaceutique est encouragée au Royaume-Uni, la multipropriété d'officines est légalisée en Allemagne et en France, le libre service pour les produits OTC est autorisé en Italie et la levée du monopole pour ces produits y est aujourd'hui d'actualité... ;
• l'apparition de la vente en ligne de médicament, légalisée dans l'Union européenne depuis 2004 pour les produits d'automédication.
